State Treasury to auction VND400 trillion worth of government bonds in 2023
VGP - The State Treasury has announced that it plans to raise VND400 trillion worth of Government bonds via auctions on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange (HNX) this year.
The total volume of government bonds issued in 2022 is VND203,222 billion, mainly to meet the central budget's need to pay the due principal. The average issuance term is 12.67 years; the average interest rate is 3.3 percent per year.
In the first quarter of 2023, the State Treasury will offer VND108 trillion worth of G-bonds with different maturities, including 5-year and 7-year bonds valued at VND8 trillion, 10-year and 15-year bonds each valued at VND45 trillion, and VND5 trillion worth of 20-year and 30-year bonds each.
According to the State Treasury, during the implementation process, the issuance volume of bond tenors may be adjusted according to the market situation and capital use needs of the state budget.
On February 1, the HNX organised three auctions of 5-year bonds worth VND500 billion and 10-year and 15-year bonds worth VND5 trillion each./.
