State Steering Committee on key energy projects founded
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh decided to formulate the State Steering Committee on key programs, works, and projects in the energy sector.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son leads State Steering Committee on key programs, works, and projects in the energy sector
The Committee is an inter-disciplinary body responsible for assisting the Prime Minister in directing and resolving major inter-sectoral issues in order to accelerate the progress of key national programs, works, and projects in the energy sector.
The Committee will also assist the Prime Minister in supervising and accelerating the implementation of the Decision 280/QD-TTg, dated March 13, 2019 approving the Viet Nam National Energy Efficiency Program (VNEEP) for the period of 2019–2030, other projects on clean energy, renewable energy, and sustainable energy transition.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son shall lead the Committee. He will be assisted by Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc as Vice Chairpersons.
Members of the Committee shall include Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long (permanent member), Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan, Deputy Minister of Construction Pham Minh Ha, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Le Cong Thanh; Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Nguyen Ngoc Canh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang, Vice Chairman of the Government Office Nguyen Sy Hiep, Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thanh Tu, Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People's Army Huynh Chien Thang./.
