State President visits Hessen State

VGP – State President Truong Tan Sang on November 26 (local time) left Berlin for Hessen State during his official tour to Germany.

The Head of State met with Minister-President of the State of Hessen Volker Bouffier duting which he highly valued the Viet Nam-Germany strategic partnerhisp.

Mr. Sang said Viet Nam always treasures cooperation with Hessen State. He also expressed his delight at the active developments in cooperative ties between the two sides over the past time, especially in economy, trade-investment, education-training, legal and judicial affiliation, and cultural exchange.

He proposed the Hessen authorities continue supporting and encouraging their corporates to invest in Viet Nam while helping Vietnamese peers to operate fruitfully in the State, contributing to enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The State President pledged that Viet Nam always provides optimal conditions for businesses from Germany in general and the State of Hessen in particular to operate in Viet Nam in an effective, long-term and stable manner.

Mr. Sang also spoke highly of Hessen State’s support for Viet Nam through the Viet Nam-Germany University project, and proposed the German State render more support for Viet Nam to implement next phases of the project, especially in the training of lecturers.

For his part, Mr. Volker Bouffier regarded the project as a symbol of the fruitful multi-faceted relations between the two countries.

He also proposed the two sides strengthen cooperation, share experience, boost exchanges of delegations at all levels, and beef up the Viet Nam-Germany strategic partnership.

The same day, State President Sang held a meeting with Speaker of the Hessen State Parliament Norbert Kartmann and delivered an important speech on Asia-Pacific security at Koerber Institute./.
