State President Trong hosts welcome ceremony for Sultan of Brunei Darussalam
VGP - Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong hosted a welcome ceremony for the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, at the Presidential Palace in Ha Noi on Wednesday morning.

Present at the ceremony includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Chairman of the Presidential Office Dao Viet Trung, and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong.

Viet Nam and Brunei Darussalam established diplomatic ties in 1992 and the relations have advanced across fields in both bilateral and multilateral aspects.

This is the second official visit of the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam over the past 20 years, and is expected to help foster the bilateral ties.
