Nguyen praised the legal and judicial cooperation between Viet Nam and Japan in recent times, through which capacity and qualifications of Vietnamese officials have been improved,  contributing to helping Viet Nam build a law-governed socialist State.

He suggested the Japanese side strengthen cooperation on law and justice with ASEAN, expand the list of occupations for Vietnamese to apply for internships, and exempt Vietnamese workers from resident and income taxes as currently applied to workers from other countries.

Viet Nam will continue to create favorable conditions for Japanese people to work and live here, said Mr. Nguyen.

In reply, Furukawa said Japan and Viet Nam have been building a good relationship in all fields, including the judicial sector, his current Viet Nam visit aims to further promote cooperation.

Furukawa affirmed that Japan will continue assisting Viet Nam in improving the capacity of Vietnamese judicial officers and Vietnamese interns and workers with special skills to have stable residence and peace of mind to work in Japan.

The same day, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception for Honorary Consul of Viet Nam in Switzerland Philipp Rosler who is leading a Swiss business delegation to Viet Nam in a bid to seek opportunities for trade and investment cooperation between Viet Nam and Germany and Switzerland./.
