State budget revenue rises to record high in 2024

VGP - Viet Nam's total State budget revenue for 2024 is estimated to hit VND2.025 quadrillion (over US$79.2 billion), an increase of 19.1 percent compared to the initial plan, reported the Ministry of Finance.

The information was released at a conference held on Tuesday to review the implementation of finance-state budget tasks in 2024.

The conference saw the participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, and Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang.

This is the first time State budget revenue has exceeded VND2 quadrillion per year.

By the end of December 2024, the total amount of exemption, reduction, and extension of taxes, fees, charges and land rental fees for businesses and citizens are estimated to reach VND197.3 trillion (or US$7.74 billion)./.
