South Korean President hosts official welcome ceremony for General Secretary To Lam
VGP - South Korea's President Lee Jae Myung hosted an official welcome ceremony for Vietnamese General Secretary To Lam at the Yongsan Presidential Office in Seoul on Monday morning.

This the first first State visit to South Korea by To Lam in his capacity as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee.
During the ceremony, a military band plays the national anthems of both countries, and 21-cannon salute is fired, showing the South Korea's high regard for the visit by the Vietnamese Party leader
During the visit, General Secretary To and President Lee will hold in-depth talks on political, security, trade and investment issues, as well as future strategic areas, such as nuclear power, high-speed rail, smart cities, and science and technology, according to the South Korea's Presidential Office.
The two leaders inspect the guard of honor. This is the first state visit to South Korea by To Lam in his capacity as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee
This is the first visit by a foreign leader since President Lee took office in early June this year.

The same day, President Lee is set to host a state dinner attended by leaders of South Korea's major economic organizations and businesses, along with prominent figures from various sectors.
