South Korea to stabilize situation soon: Spokesperson
VGP - Viet Nam believes that South Korea will soon stabilize the situation and continue robust development in the coming time, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang told reporters Thursday.
Pham made the above statement in reply to reporters' queries on Viet Nam's response to the recent political developments in South Korea.
As a comprehensive strategic partnership of South Korea, Viet Nam is closely monitoring the current developments in the country.
She went on to say that the recent developments in the Northeast Asian country have not impacted the daily life of the Vietnamese community there.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea to urgently monitor the developments and immediately contact local authorities and the Vietnamese community in South Korea to update the situations, said Pham.
Vietnamese citizens in South Korea should comply with local regulations and guidelines, avoid large gatherings, and keep contact with the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea, said the Spokesperson.
"In the spirit of serving the people and considering citizen protection as one of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' top priorities, we will continue to closely monitor the situation with the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea and stand ready to take necessary measures to protect our citizens", emphasized the diplomat./.
