Search for missing Su 30-MK2 intensified

VGP – The PM has issued a public telegraph No. 1031/CD-TTg asking for intensified efforts to search for the missing Su 30Mk2 military aircraft on June 14 in Nghe An province.

The aircraft was carrying Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Khai, and pilot Major Nguyen Huu Cuong on a training session when it lost contact with the ground office.

The PM asked the Ministry of National Defence to take measures and mobilize forces to accelerate the search for the two pilots and the missing aircraft.

The ministry was asked to investigate reasons for the incident and review the flight control process to learn from experience to avoid similar accidents.

The National Committee for Search and Rescue, the People’s Committees of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development were assigned to work with the Ministry of National Defense to effectively conduct the search and rescue activities./.
