The Deputy PM hailed the working sessions of the Russian delegation with the Vietnamese ministries and agencies, especially the exchanges with large businesses to introduce the potentials, advantages and policies in attracting investment in the Russian Far East.

Viet Nam attaches importance to the multi-faceted relations with Russia, affirmed Deputy PM Dung, adding that the Vietnamese Government always advocates and supports the two sides’ localities to establish cooperative relations in their advantageous areas.

He proposed the two sides enhance economic, trade and investment cooperation in the future.

Deputy PM Yuri Petrovich Trutnev confirmed that the Russian Government and people respect the relationship with Viet Nam.

He approved Deputy PM Dung’s suggestion to raising the trade turnover from US$3.8 billion to US$20 billion by 2020, which requires much effort from the two sides’ Governments and businesses.

With the guideline to giving priority to the Far East, the Russian Government has launched a number of policies to encourage investment, especially from Asian nations. Currently, thanks to incentives in terms of tax, land and labor, a lot of businesses from Japan, the Republic of Korea and China have effectively operated in the area.

Deputy PM Dung supposed that the two sides need to strengthen the provision of information on cooperative potentials and preferential mechanisms for their businesses as well as enable their enterprises to seek further cooperation and investment in the Far East.
