The project will be started at the end of January. The total investment capital is US $45 million, US $35 million of which is sponsored by the RoK Government. Viêt Nam’s Government will spend the counterpart funding of US $10 million.

The general hospital will be built in an area of 22 ha, providing 500 beds.

KOICA specialists will be dispatch to Việt Nam to solve problems related to medial policies. In addition, Việt Nam’s representatives will be trained in medical technology in the RoK.

At present, specialists of Hallym Universities (RoK) are providing online professional assistance to Quảng Nam Province’s General Hospital.

The project is expected to improve the health care system in southern Central region and the Central Highlands and give more favorable conditions for local people to get access to high-quality health services.

It is also the biggest non-refundable project of the RoK Government for a developing country.
