Quang Ngai becomes second-tier city

VGP – The PM has recognized Quang Ngai city in the central Quang Ngai province as a second-tier one.

With over 16,015 hectares in area and over 263,440  people in population, the city consists of 23 administrative units (nine precincts and 14 communes).

It plays an important role in politics, economics, national defence, and security in the Central Region and the Central Highlands.

After 13 years of investment, from a three-grade town, Quang Ngai city attained numerous achievements in socio-economic development in which economic growth rate touched 12.45% and economic structure was transformed towards trade, service, industry and construction.

In addition, synchronous urban infrastructure was built in line with set planning. Urban services, environment, and management and landscape architecture were improved./.
