The Vietnamese FM proposed the two sides continue fostering coordination to implement the outcomes of the fifth meeting of the Joint Committee for Viet Nam-Thailand Cooperation that took place in Bangkok in April this year.
He underlined the need to enhance mutual trust and cohesion via all-level delegation exchanges, step up cooperation in the pillar areas of defense, security, trade, investment, culture, education, tourism, transport, and people-to-people exchange, and focus on establishing a working group to carry out the "Three Connections" strategy.
Maris, for his part, reiterated that Viet Nam is a crucial partner of Thailand in the region, pledging to maintain close ties between the two foreign ministries to further strengthen the Viet Nam-Thailand strategic partnership.
Both diplomats committed to working closely to prepare for the coming all-level visits as well as bilateral cooperation mechanisms, particularly the fourth joint Cabinet meeting co-chaired by the two Prime Ministers.
They underlined the importance of economic and trade links and vowed to actively promote linkages between their localities and businesses./.
