Vietjet launches more routes between Viet Nam, RoK

VGP - Vietjet on July 25 opened a new air route connecting the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City and Busan of the Republic of Korea (RoK), raising the airline's air routes connecting the two countries to 10.

Earlier, Vietjet Air launched direct service between the central city of Da Nang and Busan service on July 20 and resumed air routes connecting the capital city of Ha Noi and Nha Trang City in the central province of Khanh Hoa with Busan from July 1 and July 21, respectively.

The four routes connecting the above four Vietnamese cities with Busan operate one daily return flight each with five hours per leg on average. 

Along with four direct air routes to Busan, Vietjet currently operates six routes from Viet Nam's top destinations namely Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc (Kien Giang Province),  Nha Trang and Hai Phong City to Seoul with two return flights on a daily basis and will increase their flight frequencies in the coming time.

While the RoK has resumed the issuance of short-term travel visa, Korean travelers can enjoy visa exemption for a stay up to 15 days in Viet Nam. International visitors are not required COVID-19 tests and no health declaration upon arrival in Viet Nam.

According to the General Statistics Office, the RoK took the lead in the number of visitors to Viet Nam in the first half of 2022 with 108,000 ones, six times higher than the same period last year.
