Viet Nam welcomes UNSC’s Resolution for “immediate” cease-fire in Gaza

VGP - Viet Nam welcomes the United Nations Security Council (UNSC)’s Resolution 2728, calling for an “immediate” cease-fire in Gaza, said Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said on March 27.

Viet Nam calls on relevant sides to immediately implement Resolution 2728, adopted by the UNSC on March 25, towards a long-term and sustainable ceasefire in the region, promoting humanitarian aid and protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure, she said.

Viet Nam supports all efforts of the international community in urging the parties to exercise restraint, hold dialogues and address disagreements via peaceful means with respect for international law and related resolutions of the UNSC to soon achieve a fair, satisfactory and long-term solution to peace process in the Middle East, the Spokesperson stressed./.
