At their meeting in Riadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Filipino President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. agreed to task their ministries and agencies to work towards the signing of an agreement on rice trade.
The two leaders agreed to bolster cooperation in such important areas like agriculture, marine scientific research, and climate change, while creating favorable conditions for their goods to enter each other's markets in a bid to soon raise the two-way trade to US$10 billion in the time to come.
The pair expressed their belief that the upcoming Viet Nam visit by President Marcos would create a fresh impetus to further deepen the relations between the two countries, thus bringing practical benefits to their peoples and contributing positively to peace, security and stability in the region./.
