VGP - Viet Nam will hold State-level funeral for Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh who passed away in his hometown Hai Phong city on August 22.

The respect-paying service for the former official will be organized from 9:00 AM on August 24 to 7:00 AM on August 26 at the Convention Center at No. 18 Hoang Dieu street, Hong Bang district, Hai Phong city.

The burial service will take place at 7:00 AM on August 26 and then the Deputy Prime Minister's coffin will  be taken to the cemetary in Tan Lien commune, Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong city where he will rest in peace.

Mr. Le Van Thanh served as Secretary of Hai Phong municipal Party Committee from October 2015 before being promoted to the new role as Deputy Prime Minister in April 2021./.
