Viet Nam, China work together to enhance political trust, expand substantive cooperation

In a friendly, sincere and open atmosphere, the two leaders discussed ways to further enhance political trust, expand substantive cooperation and better control differences in order to ensure the stable, healthy, effective and long-term development of the Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, Bui told reporters following the tour.

Both sides undercored the importance of maintaining high-level strategic exchanges, consolidating and strengthening political trust to guide the trajectory of the relations between the two countries.

Pham's meetings and working sessions in Tianjin and Shanghai with the Chinese side have contributed to creating foundation for Vietnamese ministries, agencies and localities to strengthen exchanges and practical cooperation with China, especially in such priority areas as economy, trade, investment, finance, development of international financial and free trade centers, digital transformation, smart urban development, artificial intelligence, and high-quality workforce training.

The two leaders agreed that both countries will work together to improve the efficiency of bilateral cooperation mechanisms to better meet the requirements in the new era of the two countries and the bilateral ties.

Bui said both countries should continue to further deepen their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and promote the building of a community with shared future that carries strategic significance, focusing on the following aspects:

First, both sides should regularly maintain strategic exchanges and contacts at all levels to further consolidate political trust between the two Parties and nations while bolstering cooperation in crucial fields.

Second, the two countries should improve the quality and effectiveness of the existing cooperation mechanims and formulate more mechanisms in new fronts like high-quality human resource training, finance, culture and people-to-people exchanges.

Third, the two countries need to give high priority to infrastructure connectivity, advance healthy and sustainable development of trade, promote China's high-quality investment projects in Viet Nam, and turn science and technology into a new pillar of the bilateral relations.

Fourth, both sides should step up friendship exchanges, especially between the youth, and tourism cooperation in a bid to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

Fifth, the two countries should work together to better control and resolve differences, contributing to building a peaceful and stable environment.

Sixth, both sides should coordinate closely at multilateral mechanisms and fora and join hands with other countries in dealing with global security and development challenges./.
