Dang made the above statement while addressing an emergency special session of the UN General Assembly in New York on May 13.
During its resumed tenth emergency special session, the General Assembly adopted a resolution that upgrades Palestine's rights at the United Nations as an Observer State.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese diplomat said Viet Nam co-sponsors and supports the historic resolution of the UN General Assembly.
Viet Nam stands by Palestine in exercising its inalienable right to self-determination and advocates Palestine's early admission as a full member of the UN, underlined Dang.
The admission of Palestine to the UN is the most beneficial step for the two-state solution, creating a foundation for equal negotiations between the parties and an important step towards sustainable peace in the Middle East, highlighted the Vietnamese diplomat.
He expressed his concerns over the risk of escalating the conflict in Gaza into a regional war, strongly condemning all forms of violence against civilians and essential civil infrastructure, and opposing all violations of sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Dang calls on all parties to exercise restraint, hold dialogue and comply with international law, the UN Charter and relevant resolutions, implement an immediate and permanent ceasefire, unconditionally release all hostages and ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian goods.
Viet Nam backs the two-state solution and continues to support the central role of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in implementing humanitarian relief responsibilities in the region, asserted the Ambassador./.
