They expected the two sides would continue making efforts to deepen the relationship towards a substantive and effective manner.

The U.S. side highlighted the potential for further cooperation in areas including economics, trade, investment, science and technology, digital transformation, energy, and emerging economic sectors.

For his part, Dang said that Viet Nam-U.S. relations have continued to maintain positive momentum following the meeting between General Secretary and President To Lam and President Donald Trump in February this year.

Viet Nam attaches importance and wishes to work with the U.S. to continue developing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a stable, substantive, and long-term manner, he affirmed.

He proposed joining hands in implementing high-level agreements, further tapping into the potential for cooperation in economics, trade, investment, science and technology, energy, and emerging fields, while working together to address the consequences of war.

The two sides pledged to maintain exchanges and close coordination, contributing to the development of Viet Nam-U.S. relations as well as peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world./.
