Top Vietnamese, Venezuelan diplomats hold phone conversation

Pinto warmly congratulated the great success of the 14th National Party Congress and conveyed congratulations from Acting President Delcy Rodríguez and General Secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Diosdado Cabello to General Secretary To Lam.

He expressed admiration for Viet Nam's important socio-economic development achievements, as well as its increasing international position and prestige.

He affirmed that the Government of Venezuela and the PSUV attach great importance to the relationship, solidarity, and cooperation with Viet Nam, calling on both sides to continue strengthening collaboration within the framework of the Comprehensive Partnership.

Le, for his part, took the occasion to inform his counterpart the major outcomes of the 14th National Party Congress, emphasizing that Viet Nam closely keeps an eye on developments in Venezuela and shares the challenges faced by the Venezuelan people.

He reiterated the consistent stance of the Party, State, and people of Viet Nam of valuing the traditional friendship and solidarity with the PSUV, the Government, and the people of Venezuela.

Viet Nam hopes to consolidate and further deepen the traditional cooperation and promote the development of Viet Nam–Venezuela relationship in a more substantive and effective manner, underlined the diplomat.

The two ministers vowed to resume and maintain the bilateral cooperation mechanisms, first and foremost the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee and political consultation between the two foreign ministries.

They pledged to jointly review existing agreements and cooperation projects, as well as potential initiatives and projects aligned with needs of both sides, in order to build a new bilateral agenda, contributing to the promotion of the Comprehensive Partnership for the benefit of their peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in their respective regions and the world./.
