Top Vietnamese legislator begins official visit to Bangladesh

VGP - Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Vuong Dinh Hue arrived in Dhaka capital this afternoon, starting his three-day official visit to Bangladesh.

The visit is made at the invitations of Speaker of the Bangladeshi Parliament Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury.

Vuong is accompanied by General Secretary of the NA and Chairman of the NA Office Bui Van Cuong; Chairman of the NA Committee for Foreign Affairs Vu Hai Ha; and Chairman of the NA Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Le Quang Huy.

This is the first visit by a top Vietnamese legislator and the first visit by a senior leader of Viet Nam to Bangladesh since 2018, which takes place on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and Bangladesh.

During his stay, Vuong is expected to hold talks with Speaker of the Bangladeshi Parliament Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, meet with President Shahabuddin Chuppu, and attend and deliver remarks at the forum on economic, trade and investment promotion.

Following the visit, Vuong will pay an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of President of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Rosen Zhelyazkov./.
