State budget revenue surges 12.9% in first two months

VGP - Total state budget revenue was estimated at VND361.67 trillion (nearly US$14.67 billion) in the first two months of this year, an increase of 12.9 percent over the same period last year.

Of the figure, crude oil revenue was projected at VND9,740 billion, equivalent to 21.2 percent of forecast, representing a year-on-year increase of 97.4 percent.

Domestic revenue was estimated at VND351,933 billion, equal to 24.4 percent of forecast.

Domestic tax and fees were estimated at VND276,283 billion, or 25.5 percent of forecast, representing 112 percent of the same period last year.

By the end of February, the tax authorities issued 3,017 decisions on value-added tax refunds with a total amount of VND21.68 trillion.

As many as 84 foreign suppliers have been issued taxpayer-identification numbers through the electronic portal so far. Among them, 67 have declared and paid taxes following legal regulations. Cumulatively for the last two months, the total tax value paid by foreign suppliers hit VND2.03 trillion./.
