The visit represents Viet Nam's wish to concretize the two countries' high-level agreements, including the action plan to implement the Viet Nam-South Korea comprehensive strategic partnership signed in June 2023, Nguyen said.
The visit provides a chance for both sides to review the progress of the bilateral ties, discuss issues regarding strategic, defense and security, economic, trade, investment cooperation, people-to-people connections as well as coordination at multilateral forums in order to further promote their relationship.
In the face of current regional and global context, Pham's South Korea visit also reflects Viet Nam's desire to contribute to maintaining and promoting peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world, stressed the Deputy Foreign Minister.
During his stay, Prime Minister Pham is expected to meet with Senior Korean leaders, attend forums to promote investment, tourism, culture, and labor cooperation, and join roundtable discussions on semiconductor and artificial intelligence.
He will also deliver a policy speech at the Seoul National University, visit Samsung's semiconductor plant in Gyeonggi province's Pyeongtaek city.
South Korea is Viet Nam's top foreign investor and tourist source market, second largest development cooperation partner, and third biggest trading and labor partner./.
