Samsung to raise investment capital to US$ 20 bln in Viet Nam

Samsung Electronics Viet Nam reported the export turnover of US$65.5 billion in 2021, helping turn Viet Nam into a global smartphone manufacturing hub.

The Vietnamese President called on Korean multinational manufacturing conglomerate to continue investing in auxiliary industries and smart technology, with a goal of building research and development centers in Viet Nam.

In reply, Vice Chairman and CEO Han Jong-hee said that Samsung has clear goals of effectively implementing projects in Viet Nam.

“We want to invest in developing new, young human resources, and promote research in artificial intelligence and big data" the CEO added./.
