Resolutions on COVID-19 prevention abolished

VGP - The Government issued Resolution 174/NQ-CP (Resolution 174), dated October 28, 2023 to abolish nine resolutions as COVID-19 is no longer included in group A infectious disease.

Specifically, the nine abolished resolutions are as follows:

Resolution 16/NQ-CP dated February 8, 2021 on quarantine and healthcare expenses and particular regimes in COVID-19 prevention and control

Resolution 78/NQ-CP, dated July 20, 2021 of Government on thematic Government Meeting on COVID prevention and control

Resolution 79/NQ-CP, dated July 22, 2021 of the Government on procurement of drugs, chemicals, supplies, equipment and facilities for COVID-2021 epidemic prevention and control

Resolution 86/NQ-CP, dated August 6, 2021 on urgent solutions to prevent and control the COVID-2021 epidemic to implement Resolution No. 19/30/QH2021 dated July 28, 2021 of the 15th National Assembly

Resolution 106/NQ-CP, dated October 11, 2021 of the Government on tax policies for goods imported for supporting Covid-19 prevention and control

Resolution 128/NQ-CP, dated October 11, 2021 of providing regulations on “Safety, flexibility, and effective control of COVID-19 epidemic".

Resolution 145/NQ-CP, dated November 19, 2021 of the Government on adjusting, amending and supplementing a number of policies in preventing and fighting the COVID-2021 epidemic.

Resolution 168/NQ-CP, dated December 31, 2021 of the Government on urgent solutions for COVID-19 prevention and control

Resolution 38/NQ-CP, dated March 17, 2022 of the Government on the epidemic prevention and control program

In addition, the Government also decided to abolish some points of the following four resolutions:

Point 6 of Resolution 169/NQ-CP, dated November 11, 2020 adopted following the Cabinet's meeting in October, 2020

Section 1 of Resolution 48/NQ-CP, dated May 6, 2021 adopted at following the Cabinet's meeting in April, 2021

Section 1 of Resolution 58/NQ-CP, dated June 8, 2021 adopted at following the Cabinet's meeting in May, 2021

Point 2, Section 2 of Resolution 105/NQ-CP, dated September 9, 2021, supporting enterprises and collectives amid COVID-19 pandemic.

The success in the combat against the COVID-19 pandemic has once again reflected the spirit, mettle, and wisdom of Viet Nam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said on October 29.

On October 20, 2023, Covid-19 was officially reclassified from Class A to Class B, meaning COVID-19 was no longer part of the group of extremely dangerous infectious diseases with the potential for rapid transmission, widespread distribution, and a high death rate or unclear pathogens./.
