Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh meets Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang

Pham conveyed warm greetings and New Year wishes from General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, and himself to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Consultative Conference Wang Huning.

Both sides expressed their pleasure at the positive growth momentum of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the building of a community with a shared future between Viet Nam and China, especially the recent phone conversation between General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, during which the two leaders announced the launch of the Year of Viet Nam-China Humanistic Exchange and the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Pham reaffirmed Viet Nam's consistent policy of treasuring and giving top priority to its relationship with China. He also affirmed Viet Nam's support for China's global initiatives on development. Security and civilization initiated by General Secretary and President Xi, expressing his belief that these initiatives will bring benefits to all countries.

Pham suggested both countries continue promoting visits and exchanges at all levels, effectively realizing bilateral agreements and deepening the connectivity between the two economies, and working together to implement major and symbolic projects, including standard-gauge rail projects such as Lao Cai – Ha Noi - Hai Phong in 2025, Lang Son – Ha Noi, and Mong Cai - Ha Long - Hai Phong in the coming time.

The Vietnamese Prime Minister also suggested the two sides boost cooperation in science and technology, innovation, and areas of China's strength like big data, cloud computing, quantum technology, and microbiology; called on China to assist Viet Nam in implementing the Resolution No.57 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation./.
