The meetings took place on the sidelines of the WEF's 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the WEF.

The Prime Minister congratulated Brabeck-Letmathe on his new important role, affirming that the WEF will continue to be a prestigious global dialogue platform, serving as a bridge between the public and private sectors and effectively promoting multilateral cooperation.

Pham welcomed the theme and discussion priorities of the WEF Tianjin meeting, reflecting key regional and global economic issues. He emphasized that many of these topics align well with Viet Nam's current major policy directions and priorities.

Viet Nam always highly values the role of the WEF, he said, expressing his delight to see the Viet Nam–WEF relationship developing positively.

The Prime Minister called on the WEF to support the effective operation of the Viet Nam's Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), aiming to make it a model within the WEF's network and a driving force in enhancing the application of advanced technologies across key sectors of the future economy.

Pham urged the WEF to strengthen connections between Viet Nam and global corporations and enterprises and support the attraction of high-quality investment; and upgrade the Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum into an annual WEF Autumn Economic Forum.

Brabeck-Letmathe expressed his appreciation for Viet Nam's active and constructive participation and contributions at WEF conferences and Pham's continued support and close cooperation with WEF activities over the years.

He hailed Viet Nam's flexible and effective economic management, as well as its independent, self-reliant, and multilateral foreign policy.

Brabeck-Letmathe acknowledged the Prime Minister's proposals and pledged to strengthen ties with Viet Nam, particularly in comprehensive implementation of the Viet Nam–WEF Memorandum of Understanding (signed in Tianjin in 2023), via substantive projects, contributing to expanding Viet Nam's collaboration with WEF members and partners.

Meanwhile, Brende praised Viet Nam's development achievements, including its GDP growth of over 7 percent in 2024, as well as its ambitious goal of achieving double-digit growth in the coming years—an impressive contrast to the global economic slowdown.

Viet Nam is a key attraction for the WEF, reiterated the President, adding that the WEF business community holds strong interest in the country.

The Prime Minister's dialogue events at WEF conferences over the past three consecutive years have consistently left a strong impression and served as a source of inspiration, told Brende.

The Vietnamese leader's powerful messages have helped businesses gain a deeper understanding of Viet Nam's policies and sparked greater interest in exploring opportunities to expand investment in the country, he added.

The WEF President highly appreciated Viet Nam's role in co-hosting the WEF ASEAN 2018, expressing his desire to organize a future conference in a dynamic market like Viet Nam./.
