At the meeting with First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel, Pham emphasized that the Vietnamese Party, State, Government, National Assembly, and people always treasure and stay determined to further intensify the traditional solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed Viet Nam's consistent stance of not supporting but demanding the lifting of unilateral embargoes against Cuba.
The two sides should maintain close coordination to promote trade and investment links and develop their economic ties, suggested the Vietnamese leader, he said.
President Miguel Diaz-Canel said the Cuba-Viet Nam relationship is a noble symbol of the comradeship and close friendship, expressing thanks to the Vietnamese Government and people for the support for Cuba to overcome difficulties caused by the embargo and sanctions.
He pledged to direct Cuban ministries and sectors to work more closely with Viet Nam to boost bilateral economic, investment, and trade ties, especially in agriculture to ensure food security.
During his meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Pham asserted that Viet Nam always attaches importance to and hopes to reinforce the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Poland, a priority partner in Central and Eastern Europe.
He also thanked the Polish Government and people for actively assisting Viet Nam in the COVID-19 fight.
Pham suggested both countries step up all-level delegation exchanges via all channels to enhance mutual political trust and understanding and expand cooperation across all fields.
President Duda expressed his interests in promoting bilateral economic ties with Viet Nam, adding that there are ample rooms for both sides to foster collaboration, especially in education-training, information technology, health care, pharmaceutical, and agriculture.
Both leaders pledged to strengthen coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums, including the UN and bolster collaboration at mechanisms of ASEAN and EU.
Talking to his Thai counterpart Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister Pham underscored that Thailand is an important and trustworthy partner of Viet Nam in the region, expressing his delight at the progress of the bilateral ties, particularly since the two countries elevated their relations to strategic partnership 10 years ago.
Pham called on both sides to effectively to carry out the action plan for implementing the enhanced strategic partnership for 2022 - 2027; and further open their markets and providing more favorable conditions for both sides' businesses so as to realize the trade goal of US$25 billion in a balanced and mutually beneficial manner.
Pham stressed the need to enhance cooperation in education-training, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges while maintaining close coordination at multilateral mechanisms, especially ASEAN.
Prime Minister Thavisin, for his part, said that Thailand wishes to join Viet Nam in bolstering collaboration in trade, investment, tourism, infrastructure connectivity, and locality-to-locality exchanges.
He also suggested Viet Nam consider opening more direct air routes to Thailand./.
