Prime Minister arrives in the U.S. for 78th UNGA session
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his entourage on September 17 (local time) arrived in the U.S. where he will attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
During his stay in the U.S. from September 17-23, Prime Minister Pham is expected to deliver remarks at the high-level debate of the 78th UNGA session and other high-level meetings on climate change and epidemics.
Pham will have bilateral meetings with the UN Secretary-General, President of the 78th UNGA, and leaders of several countries and international organizations.
He will also meet with the U.S. Vice President, Congress leaders, national security adviser, and visit some economic establishments.
Pham's tour to the U.S. is of significant importance as it conveys the message to the wider world that Viet Nam is determined to step up cooperation and international integration in order to make more practical contributions to the international processes as well as to the advancement of the relations between Viet Nam and the UN, and between Viet Nam and the U.S./.
