Prime Minister leaves for WEF 16th Annual Meeting of New Champions in Tianjin

Prime Minister Pham's tour is made at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende.

Pham is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Minister of National Defense Hoang Xuan Chien, and Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen, among others.

It is the second-largest and most important annual event of the WEF after WEF Davos. It serves as a platform for countries to discuss long-term visions and solutions to key issues concerning global economic development.

At the meeting, Viet Nam will continue to reaffirm its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, and proactive and active international integration towards a comprehensive, extensive, substantive, and effective manner in the new era of the nation's rise.

During the WEF meeting, the Prime Minister will make contribution to the process of seeking solutions to regional and global economic and development issues while sharing Viet Nam's perspectives, vision, and experiences.

On the occasion, Pham will pay a working visit to China, during which both sides will discuss ways to actively and effectively implement the common perceptions reached by the two countries' senior leaders on promoting substantive cooperation across various fields, with a view to boosting Viet Nam–China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and "building Viet Nam-China community with shared future that carries great global significance" toward positive and comprehensive strategic development./.
