The Decision was handed over by General Secretary To Lam at a ceremony held on February 3 in Ha Noi.
Participants to the event included President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
Prime Miinister Pham Minh Chinh is the first Secretary of the newly-established Party Committee of the Government. He will be assisted by four Deputy Secretaries: Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Secretary of Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee Le Thi Thuy, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Central Agencies Bloc Lai Xuan Lam, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc Nguyen Duc Phong.
Also at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam handed over the Politburo's Decisions on establishment of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies, the Party Committee of the National Assembly, and the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations.
Under these Decisions, the Politburo assigned Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu as the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party Agencies while Tran Thanh Man was appointed as Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, and President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations.
In other moves, the Politburo decided to relieve Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, from his position as Chairman of the Central Commission for External Relations, and appointed him as Chief of the Party Central Committee Office.
The Politburo decided to rename the central Commission for Propaganda and Education as the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization and assign Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia as Chairman of the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization.
The Politburo also decided to rename the Central Commission for Economic Affairs as Central Commission for Policies and Strategies and assign Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, as Chairman of the Central Commission for Policies and Strategies./.
