Prime Minister arrives in Ankara, starting official to Turkey

This is the first official visit of a Vietnamese Prime Minister to Turkey and the first high-level visit between the two countries since 2018.

During his three-day visit, Prime Minister Pham is expected to hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, meet with Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmus, and several ministers.

He will also host receptions for Turkey's business giants, attend the Viet Nam-Turkey Business Forum, and visit several economic and cultural establishes in Turkey.

Viet Nam and Turkey set up diplomatic relations on June 7, 1978 and the bilateral ties have developed well in many domains, from politics, economy, trade, education to culture. Both sides share many similarities in terms of history, culture, and development orientations.

Turkey considers Viet Nam a partner of top importance in ASEAN and it is one of the biggest trading partners of Viet Nam in the Middle East.

Pham's visit aims to consolidate political trust and improve the effectiveness of the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries./.
