Luong reiterated that the Party and State of Viet Nam consistently consider the development of the friendly and cooperative relations with China as an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority in its overall foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, and diversification and multilateralization of international relations.

Regarding major directions for future cooperation between the two countries, the host proposed both sides maintain regular high-level exchanges to strengthen mutual trust, share experiences in governance and national development, and enhance the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms via all channels.

He emphasized the need to elevate substantive cooperation across various fields, with a focus on making scientific and technological collaboration a new pillar, new driving force, and a new highlight in the bilateral ties.

Luong called for effectively organizing the Year of China-Viet Nam Humanistic Exchange 2025, and enhancing people-to-people exchanges to solidify the social foundation for the bilateral relationship.

The host urged both countries to further strengthen ties at international and regional forums in which both sides are members, and support each other in increasing their roles and standing on the international stage.

President Luong also called for effectively managing and resolving maritime disagreements based on the adherence to the high-level common perceptions, in accordance with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) to maintain a peaceful and stable environment in the East Sea and the region.

Xi, for his side, highly appreciated the important proposals made by the Vietnamese President.

He affirmed that the Party and State of China stand ready to maintain high-level strategic exchanges with Viet Nam to enhance the leadership role in the bilateral relations.

China is committed to deepening cooperation through the Party, Government, military, and law enforcement channels and effectively implementing the cooperation plan linking the Belt and Road Initiative with the Two Corridors, One Belt framework, he stated.

China is willing to work together with Viet Nam to promote cooperation in infrastructure, particularly the three rail routes connecting the two countries, cross-border economic cooperation zones, and smart border gates; and expanding the import of high-quality goods from Viet Nam, told the guest.

The two leaders underlined that Viet Nam and China are close neighbors, connected by mountains and rivers, adding that the traditional friendship between the two Parties and two countries, which was nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh, Chairman Mao Zedong, and their senior leaders, is a valuable shared asset of the two countries.

This friendship should be inherited, preserved, and continuously encouraged by future generations of both countries, they affirmed.

The leaders vowed to step up collaboration in emerging fields such as green development, 5G, and artificial intelligence; promote people-to-people exchanges, with a focus on the younger generation of both countries, as young people are considered the foundation and future of the China-Viet Nam relations.

Both sides agreed to boost ties within multilateral mechanisms such as APEC, ASEAN, and Lancang-Mekong, noted the two leaders, stressing the need to effectively implement the high-level common perceptions, appropriately manage differences, and expand maritime cooperation.

The same day, leaders from both countries attended the Viet Nam-China People's Friendship Meeting, the launch of the "Red Journey: Youth Research and Learning" program, the inauguration of the Viet Nam-China railway cooperation mechanism, and a photo exhibition celebrating 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and China.

Latter the same dasy, Xi left Ha Noi, successfully concluding his two-day State visit to Viet Nam./.
