Over 1,000 Vietnamese in Myanmar conflict zone repatriated

VGP - So far, 1,020 Vietnamese citizens have been brought home on nine flights from northern Shan state of Myanmar, with the entire cost of repatriation covered by the Government.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), six more flights were launched over the past couple of days to repatriate Vietnamese citizens from Myanmar.

The repatriation effort was a collaborative undertaking between the MoFA, the Ministry of Public Security, and representative offices of Viet Nam in Myanmar.

With the spirit of international solidarity, Viet Nam has also supported Egypt, Malaysia, and Singapore to evacuate their citizens from Myanmar to safe places.
