The above figure was released at the 5th international conference Viet Nam-foreign non-governmental organizations (FNGOS) and partners cooperation for prosperity and sustainable development which took place in Ha Noi on December 4.

These achievements came as a result of Viet Nam's favorable policies, most notably the national program on enhancing cooperation and mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid for the 2019–2025 period.

Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the practical and sustainable contributions made by FNGOs and partners to Viet Nam over the past decades, especially in the areas of healthcare, education, poverty reduction, community development, climate change mitigation, disaster response, protection of vulnerable groups, promotion of gender equality, and rural development.

Cooperation with FNGOs is an important component of people-to-people diplomacy, contributing to strengthening friendly relations, promoting sustainable development, spreading humanitarian values, and enhancing connectivity between Viet Nam and the international community.

Looking foward to the future, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that FNGOs will continue to accompany Viet Nam in priority areas such as human development, enhancing social welfare, responding to climate change, digital transformation, innovation, promoting gender equality, and sustainable community development.

He also called on the FNGOs and partners to continue sharing experience, knowledge, and technology, connect Viet Nam with international expert networks, and assist Viet Nam in engaging in global initiatives.

The Government of Viet Nam is committed to accompanying and standing ready to create the best possible conditions for FNGOs to maximize their contributions in the Southeast Asian country, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed./.
