Nineteen Vietnamese scientists listed in world rankings

The Vietnamese scientists were ranked in a total of 10 areas, including Business and Management, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics and Finance, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Science, Material Science, Mathematics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Medicine, and Social Sciences and Humanities.

In 2024, Vietnamese scientists were present in 10 disciplines out of 26 areas. In comparison with the same period last year, the number of disciplines grew by one and the number of scientists increased by five.

This is the first time two Vietnamese scientists have been ranked in the Mathematics discipline. They are Professor Ngo Viet Trung from the Institute of Mathematics and Professor Phan Quoc Khanh from Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

Six of the ranked scientists come from the Viet Nam National University-Ha Noi, including Prof. Dr. Sc. Nguyen Dinh Duc who was named in the Engineering and Technology discipline, Prof. Dr. Pham Hung Viet and Assoc. Prof. Tu Binh Minh who were hailed in Environmental Science, and Dr. Le Hoang Son, who was listed among the best scientists in the Computer Science discipline.

The ranking of best scientists in the world was based on a detailed evaluation of 170,000 profiles on Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Graph./.
