More aircraft types allowed for import into Viet Nam

Under the decree, aircrafts imported into Viet Nam must be granted or recognized with a certificate by one of the following organizations: 

(i) The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

(ii) The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)

(iii) The National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil

(iv) The Transport Canada's Civil Aviation (TCCA) Directorate

(v) The Federal Agency for Air Transport of the Russian Federation

(vi) The United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority

(vii) The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC)

(viii) or the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction.

Previously, aircraft shall only be imported into Viet Nam if obtaining certificates by the FAA, the EASA, or the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam.

Therefore, the new policy will allow the import of a wider range of aircraft types, including those certified by authorities in Brazil, Canada, Russia, the United Kingdom, and China./.
