The visit will be made at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In December last year, Prime Minister Pham held talks with his Luxembourg counterpart Xavier Bettel on the occasion of his official visit to Luxembourg.

At the talks, Pham reiterated that Viet Nam always attaches importance to comprehensive cooperation and partnership with Luxembourg, a founding and important member of the European Union.

Prime Minister Pham sought the Luxembourg Government's support for Viet Nam's exports to the country and the EU, especially agro-forestry-fisheries, as well as Luxembourg investment in Viet Nam in strategic infrastructure, digital transformation, renewable energy, and pharmaceutical technology.

He suggested Luxembourg help Viet Nam build an international financial center in Ho Chi Minh City, urge other EU countries to soon ratify the EU-Viet Nam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) and back the European Commission (EC)'s early removal of "yellow card" warning against Vietnamese aquatic products.

The two leaders expressed their delight at the positive development of bilateral ties, especially in investment as Luxembourg was the third biggest European investor in Viet Nam with a total investment capital of US$2.6 billion.

They vowed to establish a strategic partnership framework for green finance to make the best use of the European country's strength in investment capital, especially green finance, thus helping Viet Nam carry out the national green growth strategy and combat climate change./.
