Newly re-elected President of the Viet Nam Women’s Union (VWU) Le Thi Thuy

Le, who served as VWU President for the 2022–2026 term, is a member of the Party Central Committee, a member of the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) and central mass organizations, and Vice President of the VFF Central Committee.

The election result was announced on June 18 following the first meeting of the 14th VWU Central Committee, held as part of the 14th National Women's Congress. The committee also elected a 14-member Standing Board for the new tenure.

Addressing the meeting, Le pledged that the newly elected Central Committee and Standing Board would uphold solidarity and unity while effectively implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Women's Congress.

She emphasized the Union's commitment to advancing women's movements and strengthening the organization's activities in line with the Resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

She added that the VWU would continue contributing to the nation's goal of building a prosperous, civilized, and happy society.

The VWU Central Committee also expressed its hope for continued support and guidance from the Party, the State, the VFF, ministries, sectors, local authorities, and women across the country to successfully carry out its mission.

On June 17, delegates to the congress unanimously elected 111 members to the 14th VWU Central Committee. The remaining 16 members will be selected at a later date in accordance with regulations./.
