Japanese Foreign Minister to pay visit to Viet Nam next week
VGP - Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yōko will pay a visit to Viet Nam from October 10-11 at the invitation of her Vietnamese counterpart Bui Thanh Son, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang told reporters on Thursday.

The visit will take place in the context that Viet Nam-Japan relations have been promoted across all sectors with high political trust, noted Pham.
Both sides have enhanced delegation exchanges at all levels, remarkably Japan's Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko's visit to Viet Nam last September, she added.
2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Japan.
Japan is the biggest provider of official development assistance, the second largest labor importer, and the third biggest foreign investor and tourist source market of Viet Nam.
The two-way trade has continued growing in a balanced manner, reaching approcimately US$50 billion in 2022, making Japan the fourth largest trading partner of Viet Nam.
Japan has over 5,000 valid investment projects worth more than US$70 billion in Viet Nam, ranking third among countries and territories investing in the Southeast Asian country. Meanwhile, Viet Nam has invested about US$19.5 million into 106 projects in Japan./.
