Addressing the event, Prime Minister Pham said that Viet Nam attaches importance to developing high-value sectors especially newly emerging areas such as semiconductor and AI.
He hoped that Korean experts and scientists would share experience and their knowledge on the fields.
He took the occasion to call on Korean experts and scientists to give comments for Viet Nam to craft strategies and policies in favor of semiconductor and AI development.
Prime Minister Pham said he would suggest Viet Nam and South Korea sign an agreement on cooperation in semiconductor and AI development cooperation during his upcoming meetings with Korean leaders.
Viet Nam is implementing a strategy to develop its semiconductor industry and a project to cultivate a skilled workforce for this sector.
By 2030, the goal is to train 50,000 semiconductor engineers, including 15,000 design engineers, and establish four national-level shared semiconductor laboratories and 18 standard semiconductor labs./.
