Addressing the launch ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son underlined the importance of vocational education for sustainable development and international integration.
He described the program as a concrete example of a practical, creative, and inspiring approach to vocational guidance for Vietnamese youth.
The event is not only a career orientation festival but also a model for learner-centered educational cooperation. It also demonstrates the close collaboration between schools, businesses, and the state—an approach that Viet Nam is aiming for in its vocational education reform.
The Deputy Minister also applauded the solid and long-lastingcooperation between Viet Nam and Germany in human resource education. Many dual vocational training programs have been effectively implemented in Viet Nam, with the participation of GIZ, DAAD, AHK, German enterprises, and Vietnamese vocational training institutions.
To date, thousands of trainees have been educated under this model, with many being recruited by international companies or continuing their careers in Germany. Key areas of cooperation include mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic technology, hospitality, nursing, and information technology.
The Ministry of Education and Training highly values this initiative, as it helps bridge the gap between information, orientation, and action—providing learners in Viet Nam, especially the youth, with a dynamic and direct access channel to international-standard learning opportunities.
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister proposed that Germany continue supporting Vietnamese educational institutions in studying and replicating effective models in localities, particularly in provinces with high demand for youth workforce development.
He also hopes that Germany will continue supporting Viet Nam in integrating early vocational orientation into general education, developing high-quality vocational training centers that meet advanced standards to serve both domestic needs and the export of skilled labor. Furthermore, he called for support in training vocational educators and education managers, especially in areas such as digitalization, skills assessment, and international labor market connection.
Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training is in charge of revising the Law on Vocational Education and the Law on Higher Education, and thus needs support to better promote the capacity and potential of Vietnamese youth through improved orientation and guidance.
