During the phone call, President Lee congratulated on the success of the 14th National Party Congress and To Lam on his re-election as the General Secretary of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV).
Lee expressed his belief that Viet Nam will continue to achieve its development goals, including double-digit annual growth over the next years.
He reassured that South Korea attaches importance to the relations with Viet Nam, considering Viet Nam as a priority partner in his country's policy toward the region.
Lee affirmed that he would continue working closely with General Secretary To to further strengthen the Viet Nam-South Korea relations in a stronger, more substantive and more effective manner.

To affirmed that Viet Nam consistently regards South Korea as one of the top priority partners in its foreign policy. He also affirmed that Viet Nam remains a trusted, stable and responsible partner of the international community.
The two leaders agreed to continue consolidating political trust as the solid foundation for further reinforcing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries through exchanging delegations at all levels, expanding defense and security cooperation, and carrying out military industry and military commerce projects.
They agreed to double efforts to create breakthroughs in economic cooperation-the key pillar of the bilateral ties, encourage Korean enterprises to expand investment in Viet Nam, particularly in the fields of semiconductor, high-tech electronic equipment, industrial production complexes.
Both sides also agreed to continue facilitating trade and expanding market access for each other's goods in a bid to soon realize the trade goal of US$150 billion by 2030; enhance cooperation in science and technology – a new pillar of the bilateral ties; and further bolster cooperation in culture and tourism.
On multilateral cooperation, the two leaders agreed that both countries will work closely together and support each other at regional and international forums, and coordinate closely in maintaining an environment of peace and stability in the region, including the Korean peninsula.
General Secretary To suggested the Korean side actively share experience and assist Viet Nam in hosting the APEC Economic Leaders' Week in Phu Quoc island in 2027, and promote the early organization of the Mekong-South Korea Summit.
He took the occasion to invite President Lee to soon visit Viet Nam. President Lee accepted the invitation with pleasure.
