Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and Secretary-General of ASEAN Kao Kim Hourn attended the exhibition.

Addressing the event, Dr. Kao said, Viet Nam's accession to ASEAN in 1995 was a transformative event that reshaped the geo-political landscape of Southeast Asia.

This historic milestone not only marked Viet Nam's regional and international integration but also represented a significant step towards realizing the ASEAN Founding Fathers' vision: a unified Southeast Asia— maritime and mainland, archipelagic and continental—bound by the aspirations for peace and prosperity and the spirit of solidarity and mutual understanding.

"Over the past three decades, Viet Nam's journey as an active, proactive and responsible member of ASEAN has been truly remarkable and commendable", he noted.

Dr. Kao emphasized that Viet Nam stands as one of ASEAN's fastest-growing economies and a key driver of regional integration and community-building. Its steadfast commitment to ASEAN centrality, strategic geographic position, and growing economic influence have made it an indispensable pillar of our community.

The Vietnamese leadership consistently emphasizes ASEAN as a cornerstone of its foreign policy, affirming that the nation's prosperity, security, and stability are intrinsically linked to ASEAN's successful integration and central role in regional affairs.

This vision places ASEAN at the heart of Viet Nam's diplomatic and economic strategies, underscoring the importance of a strong, cohesive, and resilient regional organization to navigate complex challenges and emerging opportunities in a changing world, underlined the Secretary-General of ASEAN.

Looking ahead to the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, Viet Nam's role will become even more crucial. The vision aspires to build a more integrated, resilient, innovative, and people-centered ASEAN Community.

With its economic dynamism and steadfast dedication to multilateralism, regional cooperation and ASEAN unity, Viet Nam is well positioned to be instrumental in realizing these aspirations, stated Dr. Kao.

He expressed his confidence that Viet Nam will continue to play a vital role in shaping this future, and looking forward to the next chapter in both Viet Nam's and ASEAN's remarkable journey.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet said, the exhibition also reaffirms Viet Nam's consistent commitment to working with ASEAN Member States and all ASEAN partners to promote and nurture a united and strong ASEAN, making Southeast Asia a region of peace, security, and prosperity./.
