Pham said, the VLP, an initiative promoted by Columbia University in the U.S., builds on the Viet Nam Executive Leadership Program (VELP) previously organized at Harvard University.
As Viet Nam is actively implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Politburo's strategic resolutions with a view to successfully achieving the targets of double-digit economic growth.
The VLP serves as a channel for strategic dialogue and consultation, providing access to information and assessments from leading experts and scholars from Columbia University and the U.S.
This year, the program will focus on assessing the outlook for the global economy, notable developments, major transformation trends, and new drivers of growth, said the Spokesperson.
As part of his working trip, the Deputy Prime Minister is expected to hold meetings with a number of U.S. Administration agencies and engage with U.S. businesses and investors.
These engagements will contribute to promoting the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Viet Nam and the U.S., particularly in economic, trade, financial and technological cooperation, underlined Pham./.
