Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra

Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Trinh Viet Hung, and Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung will serve as deputy heads of the Committee.

Members of the Committee include Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen (Standing Member); Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long; Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc; Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Xuan Dinh; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Vo Van Hung; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam; Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Cao Xuan Thao; Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television Do Duc Hoang; Deputy General Director of the Voice of Viet Nam Pham Manh Hung; Vice Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thu Hien; and Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Farmers' Union Nguyen Xuan Dinh.

The Central Steering Committee for Food Safety is tasked with studying, advising, recommending, and proposing to the Prime Minister major directions and solutions to address important inter-sectoral issues related to food safety.

The Committee is also responsible for promptly proposing measures to the Prime Minister to handle complicated food safety incidents that may affect public health on a large scale.

In addition, it will assist the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Government-attached agencies, and relevant organizations in addressing key inter-sectoral food safety issues./.
