At the meeting Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, Le expressed his satisfaction at the stable development of the bilateral ties, particularly in economic domain.
Viet Nam respects Cambodia's legitimate interests in its national construction and development, including the Funan Techo canal project, in line with the friendly relations and relevant regulations of the Mekong River Commission (MRC), reiterated Le.
He called on Cambodia to continue working closely with Viet Nam and the MRC to share information and assess the project's impact on water resources and the eco-environment in the Mekong River basin to harmonize interests of relevant countries for the sustainable development of the basin and for the sake of the peoples.
Sun Chanthol, for his side, underlined the need to bolster economic, trade and investment ties to soon reach the goal of US$20 billion in two-way trade.

During the meeting with his Singaporean counterpart Gan Kim Yong, Le suggested both nations enhance the implementation of the Viet Nam-Singapore Economic Connectivity Agreement framework and the Digital Economy and Green Economy Partnership (GDEP) framework.
Le urged Singapore to expand high-quality foreign investment in emerging technology sectors, transform Viet Nam-Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIPs) into smart, green and sustainable models, and foster collaboration with Viet Nam in education, training, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.
Le expected that both countries will continue joining hands at international and regional forums such as ASEAN, the United Nations, and APEC as well as working together to build a strong, united and resilient ASEAN Community and uphold the bloc's centrality in addressing regional issues.
Gan Kim Yong highlighted the potential for boosting economic cooperation with Viet Nam, suggesting the two sides explore the possibilities of launching projects in newly-emerging areas like electricity transmission, hydrogen energy, carbon credits and green finance.
