Deputy PM hosts First Deputy Speaker of Federation Council of Russia's Federal Assembly

The Russian official is on a working visit to Viet Nam to co-chair the Viet Nam-Russia Inter-Governmental Committee on Economic-Trade and Scientific-Technological Cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister hailed the cooperation between the Federation Council of Russia's Federal Assembly and the National Assembly of Viet Nam, affirming that Viet Nam stands ready to work with Russia to advance cooperation in all fields for the benefit of both peoples.

The Party, State, and people of Viet Nam highly value the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with the Russian Federation, underlined the host.

He called on Russia to accelerate the implementation of cooperation projects in energy sector, support Viet Nam in effectively utilizing the annual scholarships granted by Russia, and promote cultural and people-to-people exchange activities.

Yatskin, for his part, stated that Russia always treasures and stands ready to promote cooperation in all areas with Viet Nam, aiming to advance the Viet Nam–Russia comprehensive strategic partnership towards a more substantive manner in the new period.

The Federation Council of Russia's Federal Assembly strongly supports the friendship and cooperation with Viet Nam and expects to strengthen and expand cooperation between localities of the two countries in the coming time, told the guest.

The two sides vowed to maintain delegation exchanges and high-level contacts, promote economic and energy cooperation, strengthen collaboration in education and science–technology, enhance the teaching of Vietnamese and Russian in each country.
