Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang made the above statement at an interview ahead of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s tour to Russia to attend the 2024 BRICS Plus Summit themed “BRICS and the Global South: Building a Better World Together.”
The tour is a clear evidence of Viet Nam’s unwavering commitment to promoting multilateralism and international solidarity, upholding the rule of law spirit, contributing to raise the voices of developing countries in the common efforts in favor of peace, cooperation and development across the globe, Nguyen told reporters.
The summit provides Viet Nam an opportunities to further deepen relations with Russia and other participating countries, she said.
The event will see the leaders to explore solutions to promote economic growth, strengthen economic connectivity between BRICS and Global South countries, and enhance cooperation in responding to global challenges.
The leaders will also discuss ways to accelerate new growth drivers such as the digital economy, green economy, circular economy, science and technology, and innovation, as well as the establishment of a balanced, effective, and inclusive global governance ecosystem that amplifies the role and voice of developing countries./.
